“bitbaby” Fetal Monitoring Device
Helping the founder to iterate a solution for use by pregnant women at home, using an agile design methodology
The client was already working with a development partner but wanted some fresh insight and impetus. We led a user-centred experimentation phase where, through low-cost, low-fi prototyping, user engagement and testing, a small scale data collection and human factors study could be conducted.
This enabled the rapid evolution of the design configuration of the product, addressing human factors such as usability, wearability and comfort which had not been addressed satisfactorily up to that point. It also enabled the collection of sufficient data for ongoing processing and algorithm development, and positioned the founder for next stage funding applications.
“Jonathan's wealth of knowledge and experience working in health tech, and within the female health arena, has been so valuable. He listens really well and quickly got up to speed with the problem - bringing fresh ideas and solutions which we could test and learn from rapidly.”
